High Phos is for a horse that may not be receiving enough phosphorus in the diet or is being fed a high calcium diet such as alfalfa hay. The excess calcium may decrease the availability of phosphorus in regular feeds. With a phosphorus deficiency, the estrus cycle is depressed and sperm production is decreased so breeding problems may occur. Fat and carbohydrate metabolism may be decreased. A severe deficiency will cause skeletal deformities, rickets and reduced thoracic cavity. High Phos provides the necessary phosphorus with Monosodium Phosphate (not Dical which increases calcium in the diet). Ingredients: Monosodium phosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pyrodxine hydrochloride, Vitamin B 12 supplement, Choline chloride, Folic Acid, Biotin, Corn Oil, Zinc/Manganese/Copper/Ferrous proteinates, Cobalt sulfate. Feeding Instructions: Begin with one tablespoon and increase to 1/4 cup per day. Or feed free choice. Vitamin
